    STUDENT LIFE

Host Families Needed for Short-Term Programs

West Catholic is excited to welcome students from Argentina, Brazil and New Zealand this January! We invite you to be part of this adventure by opening your heart and home to serve as a host family. Hosting international students provides a wonderful opportunity for your family to learn about other cultures. The relationships families build with their students often last a lifetime!

The students will be here for one month, beginning Jan. 8. There will be stipends available for host families to help offset the cost. Please contact Leann Garrison ([email protected] or 616-233-5938) is you are interested in hosting this January or if you have any questions about the program.

    Girls Leadership Group Gift Drive

West Catholic Households are taking part in the 9th-annual Girls Leadership Group Gift Drive for St. Ann’s Home. Each community is being asked to provide different items:

Bakhita: Games (i.e. cards, puzzles, crosswords, word searches, Sudoku)
    Pio: Lotion (unscented preferred)
    Pro: Warm Socks
    Siena: Christmas-themed gift bags
Teachers/Staff: Please feel free to contribute any of the above items

Gifts can be dropped off in the community bins located in the MAK. Monetary donations will also be accepted and can be turned in to the main office. The last collection day will be Thursday, Dec. 13.

    Blood Drive

West Catholic will be hosting a blood drive on Friday, Dec. 9 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Students interested in donating can sign up by clicking HERE and filling out a survey.
