Academics

An Education Founded in Excellence

West Catholic is proud of its more than 50-year history of academic excellence. Seventeen Advanced Placement courses are taught on campus and many students earn dual-enrollment credits through a partnership with Aquinas College also offered on-site. Over 55 percent leave high school with college credits. Last year alone, there were 358 AP exams taken by West Catholic students. The class of 2018 had 97 percent of its graduates attend college.

Besides the fact that our students are so well prepared for college, they have more contact with our full-time school counselors. We are proud to have a college counselor-to-student ratio of 1:234. That is a ratio you will rarely find in a high school considering the national average is 1:482.
