After West Catholic’s Feb. 17 Faith Over Fear basketball games to support senior Gabe Augdahl and raise awareness of desmoid tumors, WC Athletic Director Megan Pittman shared the following letter with families:

On behalf of Gabe and the entire Augdahl family, “thank you” does not seem like enough to express the gratitude we have to each and every person that supported our efforts to raise awareness of desmoid tumors.

 

Over the last couple of weeks — through online donations, shirt sales, free throw contests, media outlets and hosting the Faith Over Fear event at West Catholic — we have raised over $15,500 for the Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation!

 

Family, friends and people we don’t even know have supported this foundation and Gabe’s journey. It is difficult to express our immense gratitude.

 

Gabe’s journey isn’t over but we know that all of you have played an important part in learning more about this disease and eventually finding a cure. Our #FaithOverFear tag will continue forever, and we ask for continued prayers to all those battling.
