Quarantine is now ten days

Starting immediately, the length that is required for quarantine is ten (10) days. If a student is currently in quarantine, they may complete their quarantine and return to school after ten days as long as they meet the other requirements.

Testing for student-athletes

The KCHD is now able to provide an alternative to the antigen testing that is currently required by MDHHS and MHSSA. PCR saliva tests will be provided at three (3) locations in Kent County. These saliva tests will fulfill the need to test weekly to participate in sports. There is no cost and the results will be sent both to the school and your family. If this is something that will be helpful to you, please contact the school for more information. Rapid (antigen) testing for student-athletes will continue to take place each Monday between 7 and 7:30 a.m. in West Catholic's competition gym.

***As a reminder, if your student is feeling sick, please DO NOT send them to school. With graduation, final exams and the end of the school year quickly approaching, we are asking families to err on the side of caution. We want to ensure that this school year ends on a positive note and our students don't have to miss out on any games, special events, etc. due to illness.***
