This year, West Catholic Households are again partnering with St. Mary’s Food Pantry for a Thanksgiving Food Drive. St. Mary’s Food Pantry, run out of the local Catholic parish St. Mary’s in the city of Grand Rapids, regularly feeds over 100 families each month. There are many families and individuals in Grand Rapids who experience food insecurity and require food assistance.
The Communities in our Households System are collecting non-perishable food items. Examples of these items are listed below (this is not an exhaustive list). These will all go to families in need in the Grand Rapids area. Collections will be held in the main MAK area of the school and will continue until Monday, November 21 at 8 a.m.

- Cereal
- Tuna
- Spaghetti sauce
- Hamburger and Tuna Helper
- Pancake mix
- Syrup
- Oatmeal
- Rice
- Dry pasta
- Soups
- Boxed potatoes
- Juice
