Rabbit Island School 2023 Call for Applications. Full scholarship program opportunities for high school students to participate in a one-week Arts + Ecology expedition to a remote island in Lake Superior.

MAY 23, 2023, CALUMET, MI — Rabbit Island School is a full-scholarship program where a group of up to 7 students join a team of 3 mentors on Rabbit Island—a 91-acre protected wilderness located 4 miles off the east coast of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Together the group practices active leadership and listenership, creating an island community that is fully immersed in a unique natural environment surrounded by Lake Superior. Past participants have spent their time reading, writing, painting, sketching, carving spoons, creating natural dyes from plants, cooking, fishing, hiking, identifying local flora and fauna, and more.
