The West Catholic Art Club began painting the Northwest Post Office (1625 Walker Ave) windows in December 1990 under the direction of Art Teacher Lisa Nawrocki. Almost every year since they have come up with creative ways to spread their holiday cheer. All WC Art Club members are asked to submit ideas for the windows. Club officers — this year, Madeline Pastoor, Kylie Stong, Sophia Makarewicz and Mei Moore — decide on a vision and redraw and redefine the idea for the painting. The club then spends two days creating the 60 ft long mural after school.
Congratulations to the Art Club on another job well done this year! We encourage you to swing by to see their festive design in the days leading up to Christmas.
