Parent / Teacher Conferences

Date:  September 30, 2021

All conferences this Fall will be held in person in the West Catholic cafeteria. As always, if you are unable to attend, you can reach out directly to teachers via email or phone with any questions or concerns.

Here are the details:
Parent-Teacher scheduled communications
When: Wednesday, October 6, 2021, 6-8:15 p.m. and Monday, October 11, 2021, 3:30-7 p.m.
How: Parents or guardians will use the Meet the Teacher software to schedule appointments. Parents will be emailed sign-up information. Conference signups will close on Wednesday, October 6 at 8 a.m.

Meet the Teacher Sign-up Instructions:
Meet The Teacher enables parents to sign up for a conference appointment time. This online site pairs with our student management system (Infinite Campus) to streamline the signup process. Meet the Teacher automatically knows the teachers and courses for all students and it will walk parents/guardians through the process of setting up scheduled conference times.

To get signed up for conferences, simply follow these steps:

1) Visit the Meet the Teacher site to login: westcatholic.meettheteacher.comFill in the required fields and get started.

Note: This page will prompt you for the birthdate of one of your students. If you have multiple students enrolled at West Catholic, it will automatically know this information and give you options to schedule all your students as you continue. The person scheduling the appointment will also need an active Infinite Campus account to validate their first and last name along with the student's birthdate. (Be sure to use the parent's first and last name that would be on record in Infinite Campus). Please adhere to the allotted 5-minute timeframe when conferencing.

2) Choose the conference time(s) that you wish to attend.

3) Choose the Booking Method. You can choose these appointment times manually or have the website choose the best possible times based on your availability.

Manual Booking – If you choose to manually book your appointments, you will start by selecting the teachers you would like to meet. Next, you will be presented with a grid of all possible teachers/courses and time slots. Simply click on the time slot to book the appointment. You will be presented with a checkmark in the time slot when the appointment has been booked.

Automatic Booking – If you choose to automatically book your appointments, you will be presented with an adjustable timeline in which you can choose your availability. After adjusting your availability, select the teacher you would like to meet, click to generate your appointments and then either Accept or Reject the proposed appointments.

Note: Your account can be logged into at any time and appointments can be modified at any time (assuming other slots are available). To modify an appointment, log in to your account, open the My Bookings tab, select the Amend Bookings option and then simply Delete any undesired bookings or Add any new bookings.

To view an example, visit the Meet The Teacher website.

All A's Walk 2021

Date:  October 04, 2021

The All A's Walk is scheduled for Thursday, October 7, 2021. This important annual fundraiser raises money to aid the hundreds of students who benefit from tuition assistance each year in addition to helping reduce tuition costs for all students. This year, we are working to reach our goal of $60,000, but we need your help! If you are interested in making a contribution, please reach out to a West Catholic student or visit our All A's Walk fundraising page.

Walk info for students and parents:

  • On Thursday, we will be walking to St. Ann's Home where we will walk around the building while praying a decade of the rosary. We will then return to West Catholic.
  • Students will have to check out at WC after the walk, then they are free to leave.
  • The first group should arrive back at the school around 9:35 a.m. and the last group is expected to arrive around 10:30 a.m. (these times are approximate for planning rides home).
  • There will be no busing home on Thursday after the walk.
  • For the safety of those still walking, the Richmond hill driveway will be closed. Please enter/exit the school parking lot at the Bristol Ave entrance.
  • Students should be prepared to walk in the rain if necessary. If there is lightning, additional information will be sent out regarding alternate plans no later than 24 hours in advance of the walk.
