All families with students returning to West Catholic for the 2020-2021 school year MUST submit a Continuous Enrollment Contract by MARCH 1, 2020. Those who have not completed a Continuous Enrollment Contract by this date will incur a $200 re-enrollment fee.*

An email with a link to the Continuous Enrollment Contract was sent out on Jan. 31. Please check your email for this important message. If you did not receive an email with a link to the contract, please contact our Admissions Office at 616-233-5920.

Student Government is hosting a blood drive Friday, Feb. 28. This is very important for the community as a whole. High school donations make up 25% of all the blood donations in Michigan. Blood shortages occur every winter season. This blood drive will work to combat this shortage.

You must meet certain weight requirements and be at least 16 years old to donate. Those interested should sign up here: Blood Drive Sign-up

If you are a first time donor or are 16 years old, you must have your parent's permission. Forms can be found outside Mr. Rolf’s room.

It's Fish Fry Fridays! Join us for five Fridays during Lent for our Famous Fried Lake Perch, Fried Shrimp, Baked Salmon or Fried Walleye at West Catholic from 4:30-7 p.m. Athletic Boosters are looking forward to seeing you come and enjoy yourself, but please do not keep this a secret, let everybody know just how good our food really is!

Dinners are available for dine-in, take out and drive-thru.

Registration is now open for the 15th Annual Building a Legacy Catholic Men's Conference. Don't wait, seating is limited. The conference, held on March 14, 2020, at West Catholic High School, will feature talks by Matt Fradd, Fr. Leo Patalinghug, Jesse Romero and the Most Reverend David J. Walkowiak.

KEPHA will also be hosting a Women's Night on March 13, 2020, at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church. Join other women from West Michigan for a wonderful evening of music, prayer and message featuring Fr. Leo Pataliinghug.

On Saturday, Feb. 29 at 1 p.m., West Catholic High School will be screening LIKE, an IndieFlix Original documentary that explores the impact of social media on our lives and the effects of technology on the brain. The goal of the film is to inspire and help equip us to self-regulate. Social media is a tool and social platforms are a place to connect, share, and care… but is that what's really happening?

The documentary is about 50 minutes and following the documentary there will be a 20-30 minute Q & A. Parents and students are welcome to attend.

Join West Catholic High School and the Van Andel Institute Purple Community for the 2nd annual night of purple games! The men’s and women’s basketball teams will each be playing for a purpose against Allendale High School on Feb. 21. You won’t want to miss the varsity teams on the court as they’ll be sporting special purple warmups! There will be t-shirts available for purchase and other ways to give back to the cause, including a halftime shootout contest and much more!

  • Cheese crackers (Cheez-Its, Goldfish, etc.)

SENIORS: Grand Rapids Community College and the Grand Rapids Promise Zone Authority are partnering to bring additional resources to assist the Class of 2020 in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing the FAFSA is a requirement for students to receive the Grand Rapids Promise Zone Scholarship. The FAFSA events are scheduled for the following dates:

  • Monday, Feb. 24, 2020
  • Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020
  • Wednesday, March 4, 2020

All FAFSA events will be held in GRCC's Sneden Hall, Room 215 and will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Event registration can be completed at Please note that GRCC will have Spanish speaking assistance available at all events.
