SmartAid applications are now open for the 2022-2023 school year! West Catholic families should log in to their SmartAid account at smartaidforparents.com to make sure their information is up to date by December 1. SmartAid applications must be complete and updated for families to be considered for tuition assistance or scholarships.

If you are a registered and active member of a parish in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, we encourage you to complete a Parish Support Form and submit it to your parish office by December 1. This will allow your family to receive West Catholic's "in-parish tuition rate" rather than the higher non-parishioner rate. You do not need to demonstrate financial need to receive parish support.

Families of West Catholic students can apply for a variety of scholarships. A large number of named scholarships are available for students that meet the necessary requirements. Scholarship applications are due December 17 at 8 a.m. Completed applications may be emailed to Admissions Director Kirsten Herich at admissions@grwestcatholic.org. For more information on scholarships available and how to apply, please visit grwestcatholic.org/admissions/tuition-assistance and click on the "Scholarships" tab.

We currently have a number of job openings we are looking to fill. These include:

  • Food Service Assistants
  • International Program Coordinator/ESL Instructor
  • Academic Support Teacher
  • Substitute Teacher (multiple openings)

A major benefit of working at West Catholic is, after one year of service, part-time and full-time staff members receive reduced tuition rates. Please visit grwestcatholic.org/explore-wc/community for more information and details on how to apply.

Another successful All A's Walk is in the books! Our students crushed this year's goal, raising just under $80,000 (a new record!) for tuition assistance programs at West Catholic. As part of the celebration, students walked from the school to St. Ann's Home, praying for residents, holding up signs of encouragement and greeting those who came outside to say hello.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible, especially our donors and sponsors! For a list of 2021 All A's Walk sponsors, please visit grwestcatholic.org/walk-sponsors-2021.

Students - as a reward for your hard work to help us reach our fundraising goal, you have earned a day off of school on Monday, October 25! Enjoy your four-day weekend later this month (there is no school on Friday, October 22 for Diocesan PD)!
