In order to aid the construction process, please make note of the following changes:
- Both entrances off of Richmond St. (to main lot and VIP parking) will be closed starting Wednesday, June 15, until further notice; please enter campus via Bristol Ave.
- The baseball field, softball field and Falcon Stadium will be off-limits until August 20
- Practices will only be allowed on the lower practice field and the newly constructed north field (band field)
Thank you for your cooperation as we work to complete these improvements to our campus.
Dear friends of West Catholic,
I want to take a moment to update you on the progress we have made in our president/CEO search. Your survey feedback was valuable in validating both our job description and direction—thank you again for that guidance. We have now posted the job opening, and it can be viewed at grwestcatholic.org/presidentceo.
Utilizing connections from a wide variety of sources, we have made more than 30 organizations aware of our search and anticipate receiving applicants from across the country. We will receive applications through July 1, at which time our search committee will begin its work. Introductory information on the committee's makeup is available for you to see at grwestcatholic.org/presidentceo. This group realizes the importance of the president/CEO selection for the continued success and growth of West Catholic, so its work is serious business. There will be two rounds of interviews, the first of which pares the candidate pool down to 2-4 finalists for the second round.
The search committee is composed of 14 people. A few members are only available for one but not both of the interview rounds. Our expectation, considering summertime scheduling difficulties, is that we will have about 10 people at each interview. The group is pretty evenly balanced between males and females and represents eight different parish families. We have a member of the clergy, parents of current, past and future students, Board members, and staff. We also have alumni, donors, grandparents, educators, retirees and business leaders represented. This unique group brings diverse backgrounds and, undoubtedly, an equally diverse set of opinions to the table. I am eager to see them at work.
We will continue to keep you informed as the process progresses.
