Ms. Samantha Jacob, Administrative Assistant
Samantha is taking over for Terry Siereveld, who is retiring after 18 years of cheerful service. Samantha is bilingual (Spanish) and brings experience from Lake Michigan Credit Union and Head Start. You may have already met her as she has been in training with Terry for the past four weeks.
Ms. Leann Garrison, International Program Coordinator, ESL Teacher
Leann has a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has extensive teaching experience in Thailand, the Virgin Islands and Michigan where she worked for both Aquinas College and the Grand Rapids Community College. She takes over for Rachel Sharma, who took a position closer to home in the Battle Creek area last fall.
Ms. Julie Wilmer, Admissions Director
Many of you may know Julie, parent of current senior Emma Ammerman and Olivia Ammerman, WC '19. Julie has been president of the Faith Boosters, volunteered with the choir and has been active on campus during her time as a parent. She brings with her 20 years of sales experience and a love for West Catholic. Julie is taking over for Kirsten Herich.
Ms. Amanda Maurer, Learning Disabilities Teacher
Amanda is currently a senior at Aquinas College completing her student teaching here at West Catholic. Amanda will graduate with a major in Learning Disabilities (K-12) and a minor in History. We are happy to welcome Amanda!
Landon Grove, Football Coach, Social Studies Teacher
Landon has a Master's degree in Education, Learning and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a major in social studies and a minor in physical education. He has taught both in Indiana and Michigan. He was the head football coach for Gibraltar Carlson High School this past fall and Offensive Coordinator at Elkhart High School previously. He played football at Ferris State. For the remainder of the year, Landon will be helping out in athletics as an event manager and working in the classroom as a substitute teacher, along with his coaching responsibilities. Next fall you will see him in the social studies department.
