Mulder Family Scholarship

At the 2023 Falcon Awards Night, West Catholic honored beloved teacher Mike Mulder with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Mike began teaching at West in 1974 and his impact on our school community has been immeasurable.

His true legacy began in 1985 when he coordinated West Catholic’s first Out West Trip, taking eight students on a camping trip to see the historic sites of the Rockies and various national parks. Decades later, the trip still lives on with more than 1,000 students participating over the years.

Inspired by all that he has done for the school, Walt and Amy Gutowski made a generous gift to help create the Mulder Family Scholarship. This scholarship is intended to be used for tuition assistance and to help offset the costs of the Out West Trip for families who may not be able to afford to send their student(s) on this life-changing experience.

This #GivingTuesday, we are asking our Falcon Faithful to make a contribution to help endow the Mulder Family Scholarship. With your support, we can provide West Catholic students with dynamic experiential learning opportunities for generations to come.
