ONLINE HEALTH

The story of health or our general physical, mental and social well-being is about making wise choices throughout life. In order to make healthy decisions, students will learn about nutrition, disease prevention, mental health, first aid and substance abuse. Early due date for students seeking extra credit: July 13.

Summer health is held every summer. This course is capped at 40 and priority will be given to current West Catholic students needing to meet their Health requirement. Register at grwestcatholicprograms.org/online-health.cfm. Deadline is May 24, 2021.

Are you ready for an extraordinary summer experience?  Have a true Notre Dame experience while earning college credit on campus, abroad or virtually in summer 2022.  Notre Dame offers prorams for high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors.  Click HERE (link is external) for information from the Office of Pre-College Programs.

Landmark College is a community designed exclusively for students who learn differently, including students with a learning disability (such as dyslexia), ADHD, autism, or executive function challenges.  They champion a strengths-based model for education giving students the skills and strategies they need to succeed in life.  The application for summer learning opportunities is now available.  Click HERE (link is external) for more information. 

The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology is offering a paid virtual summer research program for high school students. In this six-week program, students will have the opportunity to work alongside a faculty member from the School of Business and assist them with research in their area of study such as entrepreneurship, marketing, management, economics, and finance.  At the conclusion of the program students will complete both a written and oral presentation.  The written report will include a literature review, and the oral presentation will include a 5-minute video of a PowerPoint presentation detailing their research findings. The program will run from July 1, 2022 - August 12, 2022, and students will receive a $500 stipend after completing the program.

Eligibility - Applicants must currently be in their junior year of high school (no exceptions).
