Patrick and Jacqueline Murphy Endowed Scholarship

  • This scholarship is to provide needs-based tuition assistance to incoming freshman, sophomore, and juniors students attending West Catholic High School.
  • Financial need is of primary consideration. This scholarship may be used to assist the same student with tuition assistance for all four (4) years he/she attends West Catholic if a financial need persists and the family states its financial case in the annual scholarship application process.
  • The scholarship will be awarded to one (1) student attending West Catholic High School on an annual basis.
  • The student must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA – C+ average in order to apply for this scholarship. The student must provide a letter showing proof of this 2.5 – C+ average by sending in a copy of their report card from the previous year or a letter from their school.
  • Two (2) letters (from teachers, parish priest, neighbors, etc.) explaining why they feel the student should be considered for this scholarship must accompany the application.
  • All students applying for the Patrick and Jacqueline Murphy Endowed Scholarship must complete fifteen (15) hours of community or church service on an annual basis. Documentation from the agency that you performed your community/church service with must be attached to the application.
  • All applications must be of good character and have demonstrated a consistent respect for authority.
  • Scholarships will be awarded directly to the student’s tuition account. No money will be given to the student or their families.
