Congrats Equestrian Team!

Congratulations to sophomore, Kyra Hanna, sole member of the equestrian team. It is through her efforts that West Catholic’s equestrian team was reserve champion for the D-division of district 16 in the Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association, which qualifies the team to compete in the regional championship show! The show will be held on September 29-30 in Berrien Springs.

Are You a Math Whiz?

The Michigan Math Prize Competition is coming quickly.  The part I test will be on Tuesday, October 9, in the morning.  Qualifying students will take Part II on Wednesday December 5.

Students can win up to $2500 in scholarships.  For more information, or to register, please contact Mrs. Cortes (rm #132) by Wednesday, September 26.

Yearbook Information for SENIORS!


The deadline for turning in your senior picture, Kindergarten picture, and quote is fast approaching. Everything must be turned in by Monday, November 5, 2018.

No late pictures will be accepted. If you do not turn in a senior picture, the picture from your school ID will be your yearbook picture. Don’t let that happen to you!

Here is a link to submit your quote: You must be logged into Google Drive using your school email to access the form.

GR Area College Night at Aquinas College

The Grand Rapids Area College Night, hosted by Aquinas College will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. for all Grand Rapids area high schools and 6-7:30 p.m. to the general public. This is the only college fair in Kent County during the fall 2018 semester.  More than 70 colleges, universities and military personnel will be in attendance to answer questions and talk about their schools.  This is a free event and highly recommended for students 10th-12th grade.
