Art Club - Lisa Nawrocki
The West Catholic Art Club began in 1990 with just 17 students. And after almost 2 decades it has grown tremendously. Although the Art Club is generally comprised of art students, students need not be enrolled in an art class. Membership requires only a love of the arts. The club elects officers, meets once a month for planning, hold a minimum of one activity per month, and currently has an active enrollment of 68 students. Over the years our club has painted the Northwest Post Office windows for Christmas 16 times; painted faces at company picnics, local festivals and schools all over west Michigan. They have visited art schools and art museums in Grand Rapids, Chicago, Detroit and Toledo numerous times. A few members have traveled with Mrs. Nawrocki to Spain, Italy, Greece, England, and France. In 2004 our club was accepted as a National Art Honor Society Chapter for the first time in our school history. Please click on the following link to the Fine Arts Website.
