Fencing (Boys and Girls):  The Catholic Central and West Catholic Fencing season is nearing its end.  For spring, summer and early fall camps and beginner classes please visit www.wmfa.org or come see the action at 1111 Godfrey. Fencing club director Devin at 914-6291.

 

The athletic program exists to serve the community. If the students desire to initiate a new sports program the Athletic Director will support an initial assessment into developing the sport.

 

Criteria

-Interest list of student names provided by student leaders.

-Must be a number appropriate for the sport.

-Adult supervisor/coach, acquired by students, must meet with Athletic Director to discuss options.

-Athletic Director assesses impact on current athletic programs.

-Parent/student meeting to discuss options.

-Non-school funding plan developed by adults to cover three consecutive years’ operations.

-Parents sign commitment to guarantee player share of first year funding. Repeat year 2,3,4.

-Athletic administrator recommendation to Principal to proceed or not proceed.

-New program must operate effectively for three seasons, while competing against similar school or age-group teams at least five times per season, and adhere to school eligibility criteria.

-After three years of operation, Athletic administrator will request the new program be added to the funded athletic programs for their fifth and subsequent years of operation.
